I joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic double bass section in 2017 and I am the Professor of Bass at California State University in Northridge (CSUN). In 2024, I was awarded grants from the International Society of Bassists and the City of Burbank to commission, record, and perform world-premiere music and subsequently released my 4th album titled Argonautical. Beyond performing with LA Phil, I also regularly perform in recital series such as Green Umbrella, Art of Élan, Camarada, San Diego New Music, Carlsbad Music Festival, Camera Lucida, Luscious Noise, and other chamber music recitals.

I am committed to bringing the arts to all communities and formerly was the Director of Community Engagement for Art of Élan. I teach beginners through advanced bass students of all ages and maintain a private teaching studio providing lessons to students in the metro Los Angeles area (Burbank, Glendale, Atwater Village, Pasadena, Downtown LA). Previously I’ve taught at the CODA and CMEA Super Saturday Workshops, HOLA Intergenerational Orchestra, San Diego Youth Symphony, Mira Mesa High School Orchestra , Rancho Bernardo High School, as well as being a Studio Artist Teacher at the San Diego State University at the School of Music and Dance. I am the founder and faculty at the annual San Diego Bass Fest (a 5 day bass seminar that occurs annually in June at SDSU). In other artistic endeavors, I enjoy collaborating and creating multimedia experiences combining performers, projected images, and amplified sound. I have released 4 solo albums to date and enjoy recording in the studios for movie soundtracks.
